Quick & Easy Halloween Craft for Kids: Cotton Ball Ghosts đź‘»

We felt a slight breeze, so naturally, it was time to dive into fall crafts! As summer says its slow goodbye, we’re loading up on all our crafting essentials—buttons, chalk, construction paper, cotton balls, paint, and glue. Whether you love a challenge or prefer the quick and easy, we’ve got you covered.

This quick and easy Halloween craft is perfect for kids ages 3 and up. With minimal supplies and at least 30 minutes of engaged creative time, it’s the ideal way to keep little ones entertained while getting into the spooky spirit!

Supplies Needed:

  • Scissors

  • Black or White Construction Paper

  • Glue

  • Cotton Balls

  • Chalk or Pencil

  • Googly Eyes (optional but oh-so-fun!)

Let’s Get Crafty:

  1. With your chalk, draw a spooky ghost outline on black construction paper.

  2. Cut out the ghost shape (little ones can help if they’re up for it!).

  3. Use the scraps to cut out small circles for the mouth and eyes—or grab those googly eyes for extra fun!

  4. Cover the ghost’s interior with glue, and let your kiddo go wild sticking on cotton balls.

  5. Add the face, let it dry, and voilà! You’ve got a ghost ready to haunt your walls or dangle as decor.

Once your ghost is dry, punch a hole at the top, thread some string through, and hang it up as spooky decor, or proudly display it on your art wall.
